Story Synopsis:
Superlative, action-packed story in which both Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin illegally enter Yugoslavia and Albania in search of the murderer of Wolfe's closest friend. Archie and Wolfe climb the Black Mountain (Mount Lovchen) and visit Wolfe's boyhood home during their search. They also get in a shootout with the killers of Wolfe's adopted daughter. Archie kills two Albanian border guards and a top Russian agent, but the murderer shoots Wolfe in the leg on their return to America. This is a must for Stout fans!
