Story Synopsis:
This one is a lulu. Nero Wolfe tackles a mother hunt that turns into a murder investigation. The only clue is a set of unique buttons. The extensive search among 148 women even sends Wolfe's favorite operatives across the USA and to France. Wolfe is so frustrated after the second murder that he throws a jacket at Archie Goodwin. Both Wolfe and Archie hide in their client's home when they know Inspector Cramer is on the stoop of the brownstone with warrants for them.
