Story Synopsis:
      In response to a State Department request that Nero Wolfe cook trout for a visiting foreign ambassador, Wolfe and Archie Goodwin travel to a private lodge in the New York Adirondack Mountains. A murder, not on the menu, threatens to keep both sleuths bottled in the boondocks under suspicion of murder. A talk with the Secretary of State and exposure of the culprit allow them to return home, together with trout Archie caught.
