A rich old geezer thumbs his nose twice at Archie Goodwin before he knuckles under to Wolfe's threats of exposure. During the investigation, Inspector Cramer and Sgt. Stebbins barge into the greenhouse and begin ransacking the office; an irate Wolfe orders Stebbins from the brownstone.
