INGREDIENTS: |
1/4 cup Chopped Olives |
1 cup Chopped Onion |
1 lb Ground Beef (lean) |
1 Package Lasagna Noodles |
1 tbs. Sugar |
1 tsp. Basil Leaves |
1 tsp. Oregano |
16 oz can Stewed Tomatoes |
16 oz can Tomato Sauce |
2 tbs. Parsley Flakes |
3-4 tbs. Olive Oil |
6-7 Chopped Garlic Cloves |
CHEESE: |
1 Small Tub of Cottage Cheese (optional but adds flavor) |
Mozzarella (use much of this) |
Parmesan (fresh is better) |
METHOD:
Fry onion and garlic in olive oil (medium high heat). Add ground beef and dry ingredients.
Next add tomatoes and sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat 10-15 minutes. Add sauce
and plenty of cheese to each layer of pasta. Be sure to leave cheese as the final topping
before baking. Bake in oven at 375 degrees until fully cooked (at least 1/2 hour). Serve warm.
