Asgard   Home of the Norse gods.
Meaning: enclosure of the æsir
Freyr god of virility.
Meaning: lord (Friday = Freyr's Day)
Gamla Uppsala center of Norse worship in Sweden.
Loki god of mschief; son of Fárbauti and Laufey; often attempted to trick Thor.
Odin god of war and father of Thor. (Wednesday = Odin's Day)
Meaning: fury (Óðr)
Ragnarök Final future battle of the Norse gods.
Meaning: final destiny of the gods
Sif wife of Thor.
Meaning: relation by marriage
Thor god of thunder and storms; son of Odin and husband of Sif; frequent enemy of Loki.
Meaning: thunder (Thursday = Thor's Day)
Týr (Tiw) god of law.
Meaning: mars (Tuesday = Tyr's Day)
Valhalla gigantic hall within Asgard where warriors go after death.
Meaning: hall of the slain
Yggdrasil giant ash tree that encircles Asgard and Earth.
Meaning: odin's horse
