Story Synopsis:
      The League of Atonement fears a cripple with a vendetta systematically is murdering its members. They hire Nero Wolfe to remove their fear; he does so by clearing the cripple of two "murders" and exposing the real culprit. Wolfe takes an unprecedented ride in a taxi to save Archie Goodwin, who drank drugged coffee while on the case.
